Every year, around Christmas time, a special neon light is hung up on the town hall wall. It represents Christmas ornaments. I managed to take a good picture of it. It doesn't get any clearer than this, because I had to take the picture after dark (only then, the neon is on and really visible).

This is the library. It is very recent. The old library closed down many years ago. Meulebeke was left without a public library for many years. Finally, the town council decided to refurbish part of the old brewery "Vondel" and turn it into a brand new library. Part of the rest of the old brewery was refurbished a long time ago and is now a meeting centre, which includes among other things a hall for concerts, parties ...
