Italy - Lago di Garda

In the summer of 2006 my boyfriend and I visited the Garda Lake area in Italy. We mainly stayed on site in Peschiera del Garda, on a camp site with some relatives. But we also took some small trips to Venice and Sirmione. This trip was short and was a quick escape before starting the construction of our house and preparations for the new school year.

Warning
If you want to travel to Italy, you should be aware of the following:
- Don't fly Virgin / Brussels Airlines. It's asking for trouble: delays and rude staff!
- Avoid Milan Bergamo airport. It's again asking for trouble: rude staff and faulty equipment!
- Italians are generally impolite or even rude. They barely speak foreign languages, so be prepared for some sign language work. Don't expect too much from Italians ... life is siesta ... and not just for a few hours in the afternoon!
